Trex® Gravel Path Grey Deck with Custom Pergola in Ellington, CT

About the Project

Project Overview:
Decks by RTC transformed a residential outdoor space in Ellington, CT, by constructing a custom Trex® Transcend deck in the Gravel Path grey color. This project seamlessly blends functionality and aesthetic appeal, providing the homeowners with a durable and stylish outdoor living area.

A standout feature of this deck is the custom-built Trex® Pergola, which is seamlessly integrated with the Trex® Transcend railing system. This design not only enhances the visual appeal of the space but also ensures a cohesive and unified structure.

For added privacy, custom privacy lattice sections were installed between the pergola and the railings, providing screening from neighboring properties while maintaining an open feel. Additionally, the bottom of the deck was enclosed with lattice-style skirting, featuring vinyl privacy lattice set within custom picture frames of white vinyl trim. This thoughtful construction method prevents buckling or rippling, which can occur when vinyl lattice is tightly secured, allowing for natural expansion and contraction.

Project Highlights:
✅ Trex® Transcend Gravel Path grey decking – modern stony grey color with long-lasting durability
✅ Custom Trex® Pergola – adds shade and architectural elegance, seamlessly integrated into the deck
✅ Trex® Transcend railing system – all-white railings with a cohesive and secure perimeter
✅ Custom privacy lattice sections – provide enhanced privacy while maintaining an open feel
✅ Lattice-style skirting with white vinyl trim – encloses the deck’s underside while allowing for material expansion
