Project Overview:
Decks by RTC reimagined a traditional deck in Portland, CT, turning it into a versatile outdoor dining and living area. The new deck features Trex® Transcend® Havana Gold decking, known for its warm, inviting tone and long-lasting durability. To enhance the design, Spiced Rum double picture framing and partition boards were added, creating a striking visual contrast.

The Trex® Signature black powder-coated aluminum railings provide a sleek, modern touch, supported by Charcoal Black Trex® Transcend® posts. A Spiced Rum 2×4 deck board was installed on top of the railing, transforming it into a functional cocktail-style rail—perfect for resting drinks and décor.

For added sophistication, Spiced Rum fascia was used to tie the entire design together, ensuring a cohesive and polished look. The project was completed with illuminated post caps, enhancing both safety and ambiance for nighttime enjoyment.

Meticulous craftsmanship was applied throughout the build, ensuring concealed decking edges, precise trim alignment, and proper expansion allowances to maintain the deck’s aesthetic integrity and longevity.
